Let me share a little story from my personal experience! We added a feature step almost by accident. It was suggested during the design stage because the bottom of our staircase opened straight into the hallway and looked a bit abrupt. I honestly thought it was just a visual extra, but now that it’s in place, the whole staircase feels more natural when you walk onto it.
